Feedback

You've got the essay back and it got a reasonable mark. Well done. The temptation is to leave it at that - you've survived the experience and that's that.

But the feedback you get on your essay is important. It's one time when your tutor's attention is focused entirely on your work and nobody else's. So read it, and think about it. Two questions that you can usefully ask yourself are:

What was the essay good at?

and

If I were writing this essay starting now, what would I do differently?

All too late for this essay, of course - but it'll make a lot of difference to the next one.
